Sayyidah Rawdah (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates: I was a slave girl of a woman in Madinah. When the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) emigrated from Makkah to Madinah, my mistress said to me: O Rawdah, stand at the door of the house, and when this man passes by here, let me know. So I stood there. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) came to those people with a few of his Companions, and I took hold of the edge of his cloak, and he smiled at me. The narrator Shaybah said: I think the narration has these words: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) passed his blessed hand over my head. I said to my mistress: That man has arrived. So my mistress came out, and the other women of the house were with her. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) presented Islam to them, and they accepted Islam. The narrator Abd al-Jalil stated that Shaybah told him: Sayyidah Rawdah (may Allah be pleased with her) lived with us in a house in the quarter of Banu Sulaym. It was the practice of her neighbors that whenever they bought a servant, a slave, a garment or some food, they would say to her: O Sayyidah Rawdah (may Allah be pleased with her), place your hand on it. And everything she touched had blessing in it.
Al-Tabarani recorded it, and its chain contains narrators whom I do not know.
