بَابٌ فِيمَا اشْتَرَكَ فِيهِ الْحَسَنُ وَالْحُسَيْنُ - رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا - مِنَ الْفَضْلِ .
The virtues shared by al-Hasan (may Allah be pleased with him) and al-Husayn (may Allah be pleased with him)

وَعَنْ يَعْلَى بْنِ مُرَّةَ قَالَ : كُنَّا مَعَ النَّبِيِّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - ثُمَّ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : " حُسَيْنٌ مِنِّي وَأَنَا مِنْهُ ، أَحَبَّ اللَّهُ مَنْ أَحَبَّهُ ، الْحَسَنُ وَالْحُسَيْنُ سِبْطَانِ مِنَ الْأَسْبَاطِ " .
قُلْتُ : رَوَاهُ التِّرْمِذِيُّ بِاخْتِصَارِ ذِكْرِ الْحَسَنِ .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ ، وَإِسْنَادُهُ حَسَنٌ .
قُلْتُ : رَوَاهُ التِّرْمِذِيُّ بِاخْتِصَارِ ذِكْرِ الْحَسَنِ .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ ، وَإِسْنَادُهُ حَسَنٌ .
Sayyiduna Ya'la bin Murrah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: We were with the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Husayn is from me and I am from him. May Allah love whoever loves him. Hasan and Husayn are each a sibt (a distinguished grandson) among the asbat." (Allamah al-Haythami says:) I say:
Al-Tirmidhi recorded it in abridged form, leaving out the mention of al-Hasan.
Al-Tabarani recorded it, and its chain is hasan (good).
