وَعَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ : أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - لَمَّا كَانَ يَوْمُ الْحُدَيْبِيَةِ قَالَ : " لَا تُوقِدُوا نَارًا بِلَيْلٍ " . فَلَمَّا كَانَ بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ قَالَ : " أَوْقِدُوا وَاصْطَنِعُوا ; فَإِنَّهُ لَنْ يُدْرِكَ أَحَدٌ بَعْدَكُمْ مُدَّكُمْ وَلَا صَاعَكُمْ " .
رَوَاهُ أَبُو يَعْلَى ، وَرِجَالُهُ وُثِّقُوا ، وَفِي بَعْضِهِمْ خِلَافٌ .

Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id al-Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: On the occasion of Hudaybiyah the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Do not light fires at night. After that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Light fires and do your work, for no one after you will attain your mudd or your sa'."
