Sayyiduna Hudhayfah (may Allah be pleased with him) states: I came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). At that time Sayyiduna Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) was seated on the right of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and Sayyidah Fatimah (may Allah be pleased with her) on his (peace and blessings be upon him) left. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: O Fatimah, daughter of Muhammad! Do good deeds for the sake of Allah Almighty, for on the Day of Resurrection I cannot avail you anything against Allah Almighty. The narrator states: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said this three times. Then he said: O son of Abd al-Muttalib! O Abbas! O uncle of the Messenger of Allah! Do good deeds for the sake of Allah Almighty, for on the Day of Resurrection I cannot avail you anything against Allah Almighty. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said this three times. Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: O Hudhayfah! Come closer! I came closer, and he again said: O Hudhayfah! Come closer! I came closer, and he said: O Hudhayfah! Whoever bears witness that there is no god but Allah and that I am the Messenger of Allah, and believes in what I have brought, Allah Almighty will make the Fire forbidden to him, and Paradise will become obligatory for him. I said: O Messenger of Allah! Should I keep this secret, or should I announce it? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Announce it!
Imam al-Bazzar recorded it through a narrator named Qatari from Simak bin Hudhayfah. Imam al-Bazzar says: We know of this narrator (that is, Simak bin Hudhayfah) only through this narration; and I do not know the narrator named Qatari.
