وَعَنْ سَلْمَانَ قَالَ : أَوَّلُ هَذِهِ الْأُمَّةِ وُرُودًا عَلَى نَبِيِّهَا - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - أَوَّلُهَا إِسْلَامًا عَلِيُّ بْنُ أَبِي طَالِبٍ - رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ - .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ ، وَرِجَالُهُ ثِقَاتٌ .

Sayyiduna Salman al-Farisi (may Allah be pleased with him) says: The first of this Ummah to come to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) (on the Day of Resurrection) will be the one who was first of it in accepting Islam, and that is Sayyiduna Ali bin Abi Talib (may Allah be pleased with him).
