بَابٌ فِيمَنْ شَهِدَ أَنْ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ .
One who testifies that there is no god but Allah

وَعَنْ عُمَرَ - رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ - قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : " أَشْهَدُ أَنْ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ وَأَنِّي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ، وَأَشْهَدُ أَنَّهُ لَا يَقُولُهَا أَحَدٌ مِنْ حَقِيقَةِ قَلْبِهِ إِلَّا وَقَاهُ اللَّهُ حَرَّ النَّارِ " .
رَوَاهُ الْبَزَّارُ ، وَفِي إِسْنَادِهِ عَاصِمُ بْنُ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ ، وَهُوَ ضَعِيفٌ .

Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "I testify that there is no god but Allah and that I am indeed the Messenger of Allah, and I also testify that whoever says this word with a truthful heart, Allah Almighty will protect him from the heat of Hell."
Imam al-Bazzar recorded it; its chain contains a narrator, Asim bin Ubaydullah, who is da'if (weak).
