Book of the Signs of Prophethood
بَابٌ فِيمَنْ سَمِعَ بِهِ وَلَمْ يُؤْمِنْ بِهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ .
One who hears of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and does not believe in him

عَنْ أَبِي مُوسَى قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " لَا يَسْمَعُ بِي أَحَدٌ مِنْ هَذِهِ الْأُمَّةِ وَلَا يَهُودِيٌّ وَلَا نَصْرَانِيٌّ لَا يُؤْمِنُ بِي ، إِلَّا كَانَ مِنْ أَهْلِ النَّارِ " ، فَقُلْتُ : مَا قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - إِلَّا فِي كِتَابِ اللَّهِ - عَزَّ وَجَلَّ - فَقَرَأْتُ فَوَجَدْتُ ( وَمَنْ يَكْفُرْ بِهِ مِنَ الْأَحْزَابِ فَالنَّارُ مَوْعِدُهُ )
Sayyiduna Abu Musa (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever of this Ummah, or any Jew or any Christian, hears of me and does not believe in me will be among the people of Hell." The narrator says: I thought: whatever the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) says is also in the Book of Allah. I read the Qur'an and found this verse in it: "And whoever of the factions disbelieves in him, the Fire is his promised place."
