Sayyiduna Bashir bin Aqrabah al-Juhani (may Allah be pleased with him) relates: I met the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) on the day of the Battle of Uhud and asked: "What became of my father?" He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "He has attained martyrdom, may the mercy of Allah Almighty be upon him." At that I began to weep. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) took hold of me, passed his hand over my head and seated me with him on his mount. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Are you not pleased that I should be your father and Aishah your mother?"
Imam Bazzar recorded it, and its chain contains a narrator who is not known.
