Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 13308

Sayyiduna Awf bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "That the belly of one of you be filled with pus, from the lower part of the belly up to the neck, thoroughly filled, is better for him than that it be filled with poetry."
Al-Tabarani recorded it, and its chain is hasan (good).
