وَعَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : " امْرُؤُ الْقَيْسِ صَاحِبُ لِوَاءِ الشُّعَرَاءِ إِلَى النَّارِ " . رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ وَالْبَزَّارُ ، وَفِي إِسْنَادِهِ أَبُو الْجُهَيْمِ شَيْخُ هُشَيْمِ بْنِ بَشِيرٍ وَلَمْ أَعْرِفْهُ ، وَبَقِيَّةُ رِجَالِهِ رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ .
Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Imru' al-Qays will be the standard-bearer of the poets going to Hell."
Imam Ahmad and al-Bazzar recorded it. Its chain contains Abu al-Juhaym, the teacher of Hushaym bin Bashir, and I do not know him. The rest of its narrators are the narrators of the Sahih.
