بَابُ مَا جَاءَ فِيمَنْ يَسْكُنُ الْبَادِيَةَ وَالْكُفُورَ

وَعَنْ عُقْبَةَ بْنِ عَامِرٍ الْجُهَنِيِّ قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - يَقُولُ : " هَلَاكُ أُمَّتِي فِي الْكِتَابِ وَاللَّبَنِ " . قَالُوا : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، مَا الْكِتَابُ وَاللَّبَنُ ؟ قَالَ : " يَتَعَلَّمُونَ الْقُرْآنَ فَيَتَأَوَّلُونَهُ عَلَى غَيْرِ مَا أَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ ، وَيُحِبُّونَ اللَّبَنَ فَيَتْرُكُونَ الْجَمَاعَاتِ وَيَبْدُونَ " . رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ ، وَفِيهِ ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ وَهُوَ لَيِّنٌ ، وَبَقِيَّةُ رِجَالِهِ ثِقَاتٌ .
Sayyiduna Uqbah bin Amir al-Juhani (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "The destruction of my Ummah will be through the Book and milk." The people asked: "O Messenger of Allah! What is meant by the Book and milk?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "They will learn the Qur'an and then interpret it contrary to what Allah Almighty revealed; and they will love milk, so they will abandon the congregations and settle in the desert."
Ahmad recorded it. Its chain contains Ibn Lahi'ah, and he is weak (layyin). The rest of its narrators are thiqat (trustworthy).
