Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 13112

Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Shall I not tell you about the worst of you?" The people said: "Yes." the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The worst of you are those whose evil is guarded against and from whom no good is hoped, and the best of you are those from whom good is hoped and whose evil need not be guarded against."
Abu Ya'la recorded it. Its chain contains Mubarak bin Suhaym, who is matruk (abandoned).
