عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - :
" إِيَّاكَ وَمَشَّارَّةَ النَّاسِ ; فَإِنَّهَا تَدْفِنُ الْغُرَّةَ وَتُظْهِرُ الْعَوْرَةَ " .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الصَّغِيرِ ، عَنْ شَيْخِهِ ابْنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ هُزَيْمٍ وَلَمْ أَعْرِفْهُ ، وَبَقِيَّةُ رِجَالِهِ ثِقَاتٌ .

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Beware of quarrelling with people, for it buries honour and exposes what is hidden."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Saghir from his teacher Muhammad bin al-Hasan bin Huzaym, and I do not know him. The remaining narrators of this report are thiqat (trustworthy).
