Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) says: A man came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and said: O Messenger of Allah! I suffer from piles, and discharge keeps coming out of me. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Once you have performed ablution, then even if it (the discharge) comes out and flows down to your feet, ablution is not obligatory upon you.
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir; its chain contains a narrator, Abd al-Malik bin Mihran. Al-Uqayli says: He is one who narrates munkar (rejected) reports.
