وَعَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : " تَعْتَرِي الْحِدَّةُ خِيَارَ أُمَّتِي " .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ وَأَبُو يَعْلَى ، وَفِيهِ سَلَامُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ الطَّوِيلُ وَهُوَ مَتْرُوكٌ .

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Sharpness of temper affects the best people of my Ummah."
Al-Tabarani and Abu Ya'la recorded it. Its chain contains Sallam bin Muslim al-Tawil, who is matruk (abandoned).
