وَعَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - قَالَ : " مَا مِنْ شَيْءٍ إِلَّا لَهُ تَوْبَةٌ ، إِلَّا صَاحِبَ سُوءِ الْخُلُقِ ؛ فَإِنَّهُ لَا يَتُوبُ مِنْ ذَنْبٍ إِلَّا عَادَ فِي شَرٍّ مِنْهُ " .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الصَّغِيرِ ، وَفِيهِ عَمْرُو بْنُ جُمَيْعٍ وَهُوَ كَذَّابٌ .

Sayyidah Aishah Siddiqah (may Allah be pleased with her) reports this saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "There is room for repentance for everything, except for the person of bad character, for whenever he repents from one sin, he falls back into one worse than it."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Saghir. Its chain contains Amr bin Jumay', who is a kadhdhab (liar).
