وَعَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - قَالَ : " أَفَاضِلُكُمْ أَحَاسِنُكُمْ أَخْلَاقًا ، وَحُسْنُ الْخُلُقِ مِنَ الْإِيمَانِ " .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ وَالْكَبِيرِ بِنَحْوِهِ ، وَفِيهِ سُوَيْدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ وَهُوَ مَتْرُوكٌ .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ وَالْكَبِيرِ بِنَحْوِهِ ، وَفِيهِ سُوَيْدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ وَهُوَ مَتْرُوكٌ .
Sayyiduna Abu Umamah (may Allah be pleased with him) reports this saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The most excellent of you are those who are best in character, and good character is part of faith."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat, and something similar in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir. Its chain contains Suwayd bin Abd al-Aziz, who is matruk (abandoned).
