وَعَنْ أَبِي الدَّرْدَاءِ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - قَالَ : " لَا يُوضَعُ فِي الْمِيزَانِ أَثْقَلُ مِنْ حُسْنِ الْخُلُقِ ، وَإِنَّ حُسْنَ الْخُلُقِ لَيَبْلُغُ بِصَاحِبِهِ دَرَجَةَ الصَّوْمِ وَالصَّلَاةِ " .
قُلْتُ : رَوَاهُ التِّرْمِذِيُّ بِاخْتِصَارٍ .
رَوَاهُ الْبَزَّارُ ، وَرِجَالُهُ ثِقَاتٌ .
قُلْتُ : رَوَاهُ التِّرْمِذِيُّ بِاخْتِصَارٍ .
رَوَاهُ الْبَزَّارُ ، وَرِجَالُهُ ثِقَاتٌ .
Sayyiduna Abu al-Darda' (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates this saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "Nothing will be placed in the Scale heavier than good character, and good character will raise its possessor to the rank of prayer and fasting."
(Allamah al-Haythami says:) I say:
Al-Tirmidhi recorded it in abridged form.
Al-Bazzar recorded it, and its narrators are thiqat (trustworthy).
