وَعَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - قَالَ : " إِنَّمَا يَهْدِي أَحْسَنَ الْأَخْلَاقِ وَيَصْرِفُ سَيِّئَهَا هُوَ " .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ .

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates this saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "The One who guides to good character and turns away bad character is He alone (that is, Allah Almighty)."
