بَابُ الْخَيْرِ وَالْبَرَكَةِ مَعَ الْأَكَابِرِ
Goodness and blessing are with the elders
Majma al-Zawaid 12618 — Goodness and blessing are with the elders
عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - قَالَ : " الْخَيْرُ مَعَ أَكَابِرِكُمْ " . رَوَاهُ الْبَزَّارُ وَالطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ إِلَّا أَنَّهُ قَالَ : " الْبَرَكَةُ مَعَ أَكَابِرِكُمْ " .
وَفِي إِسْنَادِ الْبَزَّارِ : نُعَيْمُ بْنُ حَمَّادٍ ، وَثَّقَهُ جَمَاعَةٌ وَفِيهِ ضَعْفٌ ، وَبَقِيَّةُ رِجَالِهِ رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ .
وَفِي إِسْنَادِ الْبَزَّارِ : نُعَيْمُ بْنُ حَمَّادٍ ، وَثَّقَهُ جَمَاعَةٌ وَفِيهِ ضَعْفٌ ، وَبَقِيَّةُ رِجَالِهِ رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Goodness is with your elders."
Al-Bazzar recorded it, and al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat, except that he narrated these words: "Blessing is with your elders." Al-Bazzar's chain contains Nu'aym bin Hammad, whom a group declared thiqah (trustworthy), and there is weakness in him. The remaining narrators of this report are the narrators of the Sahih.
