Farqad al-Sabakhi narrates: Habib Abu Habib al-Shami narrated this hadith to me from Abu Ata', from Sayyiduna Ubadah bin al-Samit (may Allah be pleased with him), from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). He said: Shahr bin Hawshab narrated this hadith to me from Sayyiduna Abd al-Rahman bin Ghanm (may Allah be pleased with him), from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). He said: Asim bin Amr al-Bajali narrated this hadith to me from Sayyiduna Abu Umamah (may Allah be pleased with him), from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). He said: Sa'id bin al-Musayyib narrated it to me, or it was narrated to me from him, from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both), from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), that he said: "By the One in whose Hand is the soul of Muhammad! Some people of my Ummah will spend the night in arrogance, insolence, play and amusement, and in the morning they will have become apes and swine, because they will be treating forbidden things as lawful, they will have kept singing girls, they will be drinking wine, they will be consuming usury (riba), and they will be wearing silk."
Abdullah recorded it; al-Tabarani recorded only the hadith of Sayyiduna Abu Umamah (may Allah be pleased with him) from it, and Farqad is da'if (weak).
