Sayyiduna Hudhayfah bin al-Yaman (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: I asked the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) about Gog and Magog, and he said: "Gog is a nation and Magog is a nation; each nation consists of four hundred thousand nations. None of them dies until he sees in front of him a thousand male descendants of his (children and grandchildren), each of whom bears arms." I said: "O Messenger of Allah! Describe them to us." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "They are of three kinds. One kind is like the arz (cedar) tree." I asked: "What is the arz?" He said: "It is a tree in Syria; the height of the tree is one hundred and twenty cubits (a cubit being the length from the elbow to the tip of the middle finger)." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "These are the people before whom neither horse nor weapon can stand. Another group of them will spread one ear as a mattress and wrap themselves in the other as a quilt. They will not pass by any elephant, wild beast, camel or swine without eating it, and whoever of them dies, they will eat him too. Their vanguard will be in Syria and their rear in Khurasan. They will drink up the rivers of the east and the Lake of Tiberias."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat. Its chain contains Yahya bin Sa'id al-Attar, who is da'if (weak).
