وَعَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ بْنِ جَزْءٍ الزُّبَيْدِيِّ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " يَخْرُجُ قَوْمٌ مِنْ قِبَلِ الْمَشْرِقِ فَيُوَطِّئُونَ لِلْمَهْدِيِّ سُلْطَانَهُ " .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ ، وَفِيهِ عَمْرُو بْنُ جَابِرٍ وَهُوَ كَذَّابٌ . قُلْتُ : وَحَدِيثُ عَلِيٍّ الْهِلَالِيِّ فِي الْمَهْدِيِّ يَأْتِي فِي فَضَائِلِ أَهْلِ الْبَيْتِ ، إِنْ شَاءَ اللَّهُ .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ ، وَفِيهِ عَمْرُو بْنُ جَابِرٍ وَهُوَ كَذَّابٌ . قُلْتُ : وَحَدِيثُ عَلِيٍّ الْهِلَالِيِّ فِي الْمَهْدِيِّ يَأْتِي فِي فَضَائِلِ أَهْلِ الْبَيْتِ ، إِنْ شَاءَ اللَّهُ .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin al-Harith bin Jaz' al-Zubaydi (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "A people will come forth from the direction of the east who will pave the way for the Mahdi's rule."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat. Its chain contains Amr bin Jabir, who is a kadhdhab (liar). (Allamah al-Haythami says:) I say: The hadith narrated by Ali al-Hilali concerning the Mahdi will come later in the chapter on the virtues of the Ahl al-Bayt (the Prophet's household), if Allah wills.
