عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ بُسْرٍ قَالَ : لَقَدْ سَمِعْتُ حَدِيثًا مُنْذُ زَمَانٍ : إِذَا كُنْتُ فِي قَوْمٍ عِشْرِينَ رَجُلًا أَوْ أَقَلَّ أَوْ أَكْثَرَ فَتَصَفَّحْتَ وُجُوهَهُمْ فَلَمْ تَرَ فِيهِمْ رَجُلًا يُهَابُ فِي اللَّهِ - عَزَّ وَجَلَّ - فَاعْلَمْ أَنَّ الْأَمْرَ قَدْ رَقَّ . رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ وَالطَّبَرَانِيُّ ، وَإِسْنَادُ أَحْمَدَ جَيِّدٌ .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Busr (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: Long ago I heard a hadith: When you are among twenty people, or (they are) fewer than that or more, and you look carefully at their faces and do not see among them a single man who is held in awe for the sake of Allah Almighty, then know that the matter has become weak.
