وَعَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سِيرِينَ أَنَّ مُحَمَّدَ بْنَ أَبِي حُذَيْفَةَ بْنِ عُتْبَةَ بْنِ رَبِيعَةَ ، وَكَعْبًا رَكِبَا سَفِينَةً فِي الْبَحْرِ ، فَقَالَ مُحَمَّدٌ : يَا كَعْبُ ، أَمَا تَجِدُ سَفِينَتَنَا هَذِهِ فِي التَّوْرَاةِ كَيْفَ تَجْرِي ؟ قَالَ : لَا ، وَلَكِنْ أَجِدُ فِيهَا رَجُلًا أَشْقَى الْفِتْيَةِ مِنْ قُرَيْشٍ يَنْزُو فِي الْفِتْيَةِ نَزْوَ الْحِمَارِ فَاتَّقِ ، لَا تَكُنْ أَنْتَ هُوَ . قَالَ ابْنُ سِيرِينَ : فَزَعَمُوا أَنَّهُ كَانَ هُوَ .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ ، وَرِجَالُهُ رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ .

Muhammad bin Sirin narrates: Muhammad bin Abi Hudhayfah bin Utbah bin Rabi'ah and Ka'b were both travelling on a boat at sea. Muhammad bin Abi Hudhayfah said: O Ka'b! Do you find mention of this boat of ours in the Torah, of how it sails? He replied: No! But I find in the Torah mention of a man who will belong to Quraysh and will be the most wretched of young men, and he will leap into the fitnah (tribulation) the way a donkey leaps. Try to guard against it, lest that man be you. Ibn Sirin says: People say that this very man turned out to be that person.
