Sayyiduna Jabr bin Atik (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked for three things in the mosque of Banu Mu'awiyah; he (peace and blessings be upon him) was granted two and refused one. He (peace and blessings be upon him) asked Allah Almighty that He would not destroy his (peace and blessings be upon him) Ummah through hunger, and that He would not set an enemy over them, and both of these were granted to him. And he asked Allah Almighty that He would not place bloodshed among them, and he (peace and blessings be upon him) was refused this.
Al-Tabarani recorded it; its chain contains a narrator, Jabir al-Ju'fi, who is da'if (weak).
