Sayyiduna Abu Umamah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "One hundred and ninety angels are assigned to every believer, who ward off from him whatever has not been decreed against him. Among them, nine angels are for the eyesight; they ward things off from him just as you drive flies away from a bowl of honey on a hot day. If they (the angels) were to appear before you, you would see them on every mountain and plain, all of them with their hands outstretched and their mouths open. And if a person were left to himself even for the blink of an eye, the devils would snatch him away."
Al-Tabarani recorded it; its chain contains Ufayr bin Ma'dan, who is da'if (weak).
