Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) says: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to me: "Perhaps you will live on after me until you reach the time of a people who deny the destiny (qadar) appointed by Allah Almighty, attributing sins to the servants. They will have taken this talk of theirs from the Christians. When such a situation arises, declare before Allah Almighty that you are disassociated from those people." The narrator says: Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) would raise both hands and say: "O Allah! I declare myself disassociated from these people, just as Your Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) commanded."
Al-Tabarani recorded it; its chain contains a narrator, Abdullah bin Ziyad bin Sam'an, who is matruk (abandoned).
