عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ : لَمَّا نَزَلَتْ إِنَّ هَذَا لَفِي الصُّحُفِ الْأُولَى صُحُفِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ وَمُوسَى قَالَ النَّبِيُّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : " كَانَ كُلُّ هَذَا - أَوْ كَانَ هَذَا - فِي صُحُفِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ وَمُوسَى " . رَوَاهُ الْبَزَّارُ ، وَفِيهِ عَطَاءُ بْنُ السَّائِبِ وَقَدِ اخْتَلَطَ ، وَبَقِيَّةُ رِجَالِهِ رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: When this verse was revealed: "Indeed, this (teaching, or statement) is in the earlier scriptures, the scriptures of Ibrahim and Musa," the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "All of this (the narrator is unsure; perhaps the words are:) this is in the scriptures of Ibrahim and Musa."
