Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 11452

Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id al-Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) concerning this saying of Allah Almighty, Allah Almighty says: "Soon I will burden him with a severe ascent." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "It is a mountain of fire in Hell. The person will be made to climb it. When he places his hand on it, his hand will melt, and when he lifts his hand, it will return to how it was before. When the man places his foot on that mountain, it will melt, and when the man lifts it, it will return to how it was before."
(Allamah Haythami says:) I say: Tirmidhi recorded it without this wording.
Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat; its chain contains a narrator, Atiyyah, who is da'if (weak).
