وَعَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَسْلَمَ فِي قَوْلِهِ الْخَبِيثَاتُ لِلْخَبِيثِينَ وَالْخَبِيثُونَ لِلْخَبِيثَاتِ وَالطَّيِّبَاتُ لِلطَّيِّبِينَ وَالطَّيِّبُونَ لِلطَّيِّبَاتِ قَالَ : نَزَلَتْ فِي عَائِشَةَ حِينَ رَمَاهَا الْمُنَافِقُ بِالْبُهْتَانِ وَالْفِرْيَةِ ، فَبَرَّأَهَا اللَّهُ مِنْ ذَلِكَ ، وَكَانَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ أُبَيٍّ هُوَ خَبِيثًا فَكَانَ هُوَ أَوْلَى بِأَنْ تَكُونَ لَهُ الْخَبِيثَةُ وَيَكُونَ لَهَا ، وَكَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - طَيِّبًا وَكَانَ أَوْلَى أَنْ تَكُونَ لَهُ الطَّيِّبَةُ ، وَكَانَتْ عَائِشَةُ الطَّيِّبَةَ وَكَانَتْ أَوْلَى أَنْ يَكُونَ لَهَا الطَّيِّبُ . رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ ، وَرِجَالُهُ ثِقَاتٌ إِلَى عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَسْلَمَ .
Abd al-Rahman bin Zayd bin Aslam, regarding this statement of Allah Almighty, said: (Allah Almighty says:) "Evil women are for evil men, and evil men are for evil women; and good women are for good men, and good men are for good women." Abd al-Rahman bin Zayd said: This verse was revealed concerning Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) when the hypocrites accused her with slander and falsehood, and Allah Almighty declared Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) innocent of it. Abdullah bin Ubayy was an evil person, so he was more deserving that evil should be for him and that he should be for evil; and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was pure, and it befitted his station that he should have a pure (wife). Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) was pure, and Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) was more deserving that she should have a pure (husband).
Al-Tabarani recorded it, and its narrators up to Abd al-Rahman bin Zayd bin Aslam are thiqat (trustworthy).
