قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى : زِدْنَاهُمْ عَذَابًا فَوْقَ الْعَذَابِ .
The saying of Allah the Exalted: "We will increase them in punishment over their punishment"

عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ فِي قَوْلِهِ : ( زِدْنَاهُمْ عَذَابًا فَوْقَ الْعَذَابِ ) قَالَ : زِيدُوا عَقَارِبَ ، أَنْيَابُهَا كَالنَّخْلِ الطِّوَالِ . رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ بِأَسَانِيدَ ، وَرِجَالُ بَعْضِهَا رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) states about this saying of Allah Almighty (Allah Almighty says:) "We will increase them in punishment upon punishment." Sayyiduna Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) says: Additional scorpions will be set upon them, whose fangs will be as big as tall date palms.
