قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى : آمَنْتُ أَنَّهُ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا الَّذِي آمَنَتْ بِهِ بَنُو إِسْرَائِيلَ .

عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - قَالَ : " قَالَ لِي جِبْرِيلُ - عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ - مَا كَانَ عَلَى وَجْهِ الْأَرْضِ شَيْءٌ أَبْغَضُ إِلَيَّ مِنْ فِرْعَوْنَ ، فَلَمَّا آمَنَ جَعَلْتُ أَحْشُو فَاهُ حَمْأَةً خَشْيَةَ أَنْ تُدْرِكَهُ الرَّحْمَةُ " . رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ ، وَفِيهِ قَيْسُ بْنُ الرَّبِيعِ ، وَثَّقَهُ شُعْبَةُ وَالثَّوْرِيُّ ، وَضَعَّفَهُ جَمَاعَةٌ .
Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) reports this saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "Jibril told me: 'On the face of the earth there was no one more hateful to me than Pharaoh. When he began to believe, I started stuffing mud into his mouth lest mercy should reach him.'"
Imam al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat. Its chain contains a narrator, Qays bin al-Rabi', whom Shu'bah and al-Thawri declared thiqah (trustworthy), and a group declared him da'if (weak).
