Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: When Abdullah bin Ubayy fell into the illness in which he later died, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) came to him during it, and some conversation took place between the two of them. Abdullah said: "I have understood what he is saying. Do me the favour of shrouding me in your shirt and leading my funeral prayer." So the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) shrouded him in his shirt and offered his funeral prayer. Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) said: Allah knows best what kind of prayer it was; and Sayyiduna Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) never deceived any human being.
Imam al-Tabarani recorded it. Its chain contains a narrator, al-Hakam bin Aban, whom Imam al-Nasa'i (may Allah have mercy on him) and a group declared thiqah (trustworthy), while Ibn al-Mubarak declared him da'if (weak). The rest of its narrators are the narrators of the Sahih.
