قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى : وَأَنَّ هَذَا صِرَاطِي مُسْتَقِيمًا فَاتَّبِعُوهُ .

عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ قَالَ : خَطَّ لَنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - خَطًّا ، ثُمَّ قَالَ : " هَذَا سَبِيلُ اللَّهِ " . ثُمَّ خَطَّ خُطُوطًا عَنْ يَمِينِهِ وَشِمَالِهِ ، ثُمَّ قَالَ : " هَذِهِ سُبُلٌ مُتَفَرِّقَةٌ ، عَلَى كُلِّ سَبِيلٍ مِنْهَا شَيْطَانٌ يَدْعُو إِلَيْهِ " ، ثُمَّ قَرَأَ : وَأَنَّ هَذَا صِرَاطِي مُسْتَقِيمًا فَاتَّبِعُوهُ وَلَا تَتَّبِعُوا السُّبُلَ فَتَفَرَّقَ بِكُمْ عَنْ سَبِيلِهِ . رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ وَالْبَزَّارُ ، وَفِيهِ عَاصِمُ بْنُ بَهْدَلَةَ ، وَهُوَ ثِقَةٌ ، وَفِيهِ ضَعْفٌ .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) drew a line for us and then said: "This is the path of Allah." Then he drew some other lines to its right and left and said: "These are other paths; on each of these paths there is a devil calling to it." Then he recited this verse: "And indeed, this is My straight path, so follow it, and do not follow the various paths, lest they divert you from the true path."
Imam Ahmad and Imam al-Bazzar recorded it. Its chain contains a narrator, Asim bin Bahdalah, who is thiqah (trustworthy), and there is some weakness in him.
