Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 10758

Sayyiduna Salamah bin al-Akwa' (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) had a slave whose name was Yasar. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) saw that he performed the prayer well, so he set him free. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) sent him to his milch-camels in the stony ground (al-Harrah), and he stayed there. Some people of the tribe of Uraynah from Yemen outwardly accepted Islam. When those people came, they fell ill; they had a fever, and their bellies had become swollen. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) sent them to Yasar, and there they drank the milk of the camels until their bellies recovered. Then they attacked Yasar, slaughtered him and thrust thorns into his eyes, and then they untied the camels and drove them away. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) sent horsemen after them, whose commander was Sayyiduna Kurz bin Malik al-Fihri (may Allah be pleased with him). They caught up with those people, seized them and brought them to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) had their hands and feet cut off and had their eyes branded with heated irons.
Al-Tabarani recorded it. Its chain contains a narrator, Musa bin Muhammad bin Ibrahim bin al-Harith al-Taymi, who is da'if (weak).
