وَعَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ : إِنْ أُوتِيتُمْ هَذَا فَخُذُوهُ وَإِنْ لَمْ تُؤْتَوْهُ فَاحْذَرُوا ، فَذَكَرَ ابْنَيْ صُورِيَا حِينَ أَتَاهُمُ النَّبِيُّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - فَقَالَ لَهُمَا : " بِالَّذِي أَنْزَلَ التَّوْرَاةَ عَلَى مُوسَى ، وَالَّذِي فَلَقَ الْبَحْرَ ، وَالَّذِي أَنْزَلَ عَلَيْكُمُ الْمَنَّ وَالسَّلْوَى ، أَنْتُمْ أَعْلَمُ ؟ " .
قَالَا : قَدْ نَحَلَنَا قَوْمُنَا ذَلِكَ ، قَالَ : فَقَالَ أَحَدُهُمَا : يُنَاشِدُنَا بِمِثْلِ هَذِهِ ، قَالَ : " تَجِدُونَ النَّظَرَ زَنْيَةً ، وَالِاعْتِنَاقَ زَنْيَةً ، وَالْقُبَلَ زَنْيَةً . . . . " فَذَكَرَهُ . رَوَاهُ أَبُو يَعْلَى ، وَهُوَ مُرْسَلٌ ، وَرِجَالُهُ ثِقَاتٌ .
قَالَا : قَدْ نَحَلَنَا قَوْمُنَا ذَلِكَ ، قَالَ : فَقَالَ أَحَدُهُمَا : يُنَاشِدُنَا بِمِثْلِ هَذِهِ ، قَالَ : " تَجِدُونَ النَّظَرَ زَنْيَةً ، وَالِاعْتِنَاقَ زَنْيَةً ، وَالْقُبَلَ زَنْيَةً . . . . " فَذَكَرَهُ . رَوَاهُ أَبُو يَعْلَى ، وَهُوَ مُرْسَلٌ ، وَرِجَالُهُ ثِقَاتٌ .
Imam al-Sha'bi narrates: (Allah Almighty says:) "If you are given this (the ruling or verdict you want), accept it; and if you are not given it (the ruling or verdict you want), then beware (of accepting it)." He mentioned the two sons of Suriya, when the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) came to them and said to them: "By the One who revealed the Torah to Sayyiduna Musa (peace be upon him), and who split the sea, and by the One who sent down manna and quails upon you, are you the most knowledgeable?" They both said: "Our people have attributed that to us." Then one of them said: "He is adjuring us by the like of this." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Do you find that looking is fornication, embracing is fornication, and kissing is fornication?" After this the narrator mentioned the hadith as before.
