Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: A woman confessed four times to having committed fornication, and she was pregnant. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to her: "Go, and first give birth to the child." Then the woman came, having given birth to the child. Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "First nurse this child until you wean him." Then the woman came, and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) had her stoned. The people mentioned that woman, and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "This woman has repented with such a repentance that, if one who collects unjust levies (maks) had made that repentance, he too would have been forgiven."
Al-Bazzar recorded it, and its narrators are thiqat (trustworthy), except that the narrator al-A'mash did not hear from Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him), though he did see Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him).
