Ata' bin Abi Rabah narrates: I asked Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both): "Were you present with the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) at the Pledge of Ridwan?" He replied: "Yes." I asked: "What was the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) wearing at that time?" He said: "A shirt made of cotton, a padded cloak, a sheet and a sword. I saw Sayyiduna al-Nu'man bin Muqarrin al-Muzani (may Allah be pleased with him) standing at the head of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), lifting the branches of the tree from his head, while the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was taking the pledge from the people." (Allamah al-Haythami says:) I say: A hadith about al-Hudaybiyah is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both), but it is other than this narration.
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat; its chain contains Isma'il bin Yahya bin Abdullah al-Taymi, who is da'if (weak).
