وَعَنِ أَسْلَمَ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ قَالَ : جَعَلَنِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - عَلَى أَسْرَى قُرَيْظَةَ ، فَكُنْتُ أَنْظُرُ إِلَى فَرْجِ الْغُلَامِ ، فَإِنْ رَأَيْتُهُ قَدْ أَنْبَتَ ضَرَبْتُ عُنُقَهُ ، وَإِنْ لَمْ أَرَهُ قَدْ أَنْبَتَ جَعَلْتُهُ فِي مَغَانِمِ الْمُسْلِمِينَ . رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الصَّغِيرِ وَالْأَوْسَطِ ، وَفِيهِ جَمَاعَةٌ لَمْ أَعْرِفْهُمْ .
Sayyiduna Aslam al-Ansari (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) appointed me in charge of the prisoners of Qurayzah. I would look at the private parts of the boys; whoever I saw had grown pubic hair, I would strike his neck, and if I saw that it had not yet grown, I would put him among the spoils of war of the Muslims.
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Saghir and al-Mu'jam al-Awsat; its chain contains a group of narrators whom I do not know.
