Sayyidah Aishah Siddiqah (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) heard the voice of a man, so he quickly got up and went out to him. I went after him, and it was a man who was reclining, wearing a turban, with the end of the turban hanging down behind him between his two shoulders. When the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) came back into the house, I said: "You got up quickly and went out, and that was Dihyah al-Kalbi." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked: "Did you see him?" I said: "Yes." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "That was Jibril, and he told me that I should go out to Banu Qurayzah." (Allamah al-Haythami says:) I say: This narration is narrated in the "Sahih" in abridged form.
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat from his teacher Miqdam bin Dawud, who is da'if (weak).
