Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 10152

Sayyidah Aishah Siddiqah (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates: I was with the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and at that time he was at the trench. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was keeping watch over a gap in the mountain, about which he had concerns. He would come and lie down with his head in my lap, then get up and listen out. He heard the sound of a person wearing iron armour, coming toward the mountain. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked: "Who is it?" He replied: "I am Sa'd. I have come so that you may give me some order." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered him to spend the night in that gap. Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) says: Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) fell asleep in my lap, until I heard the sound of his snoring. Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) says: After that I never forgot (to pray) for Sayyiduna Sa'd (may Allah be pleased with him). (Allamah al-Haythami says:) I say: Part of this narration is mentioned in the "Sahih".
Al-Bazzar recorded it from his teacher Abdullah bin Shabib, who is da'if (weak).
