Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 10049

Sayyidah Unaysah bint Adi (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates that she came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and said: "O Messenger of Allah, my son Abdullah bin Salamah had the honour of taking part in the battle of Badr; he has been martyred in the battle of Uhud. I wish to move his body so that I may find comfort in his nearness." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) permitted her to do so. She placed his body on a water-carrying camel of his, wrapped in a cloak, balancing it against (the body of) al-Mujadhdhar bin Ziyad. When she passed by with the two of them, the people marvelled at them. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) looked at the two of them and said: "Their deeds have made the two of them equal." Abdullah was a heavy, large-bodied man, whereas al-Mujadhdhar was lean, and he is the one who used to say: "I am the one of whom it is said: my origin is from Baliyy; I thrust with the spear until it bends, and no one has been seen performing feats like Mujadhdhar."
Al-Tabarani recorded it, and its narrators are thiqat (trustworthy).
