Sunan Ibn Majah 4323 — Description of Hell

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ , حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحِيمِ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ , عَنْ دَاوُدَ بْنِ أَبِي هِنْدٍ , حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ قَيْسٍ , قَالَ : كُنْتُ عِنْدَ أَبِي بُرْدَةَ ذَاتَ لَيْلَةٍ , فَدَخَلَ عَلَيْنَا الْحَارِثُ بْنُ أُقَيْشٍ , فَحَدَّثَنَا الْحَارِثُ لَيْلَتَئِذٍ , أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ , قَالَ : " إِنَّ مِنْ أُمَّتِي مَنْ يَدْخُلُ الْجَنَّةَ بِشَفَاعَتِهِ أَكْثَرُ مِنْ مُضَرَ , وَإِنَّ مِنْ أُمَّتِي مَنْ يَعْظُمُ لِلنَّارِ حَتَّى يَكُونَ أَحَدَ زَوَايَاهَا " .

´‘Abdullah bin Qais said:` “I was with Abu Burdah one night, and Harith bin Uqaish entered upon us. Harith told us that night that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: ‘Among my nation are some by whose intercession more (than the members of the tribe of) Mudar will enter Paradise, and among my nation are some who will be made huge for the Fire until they fill one of its corners.’”

Hadith Takhrij «تفرد بہ ابن ماجہ ، ( تحفة الأشراف : 3273 ، ومصباح الزجاجة : 1546 ) ، وقد أخرجہ : مسند احمد ( 5/312 ) ( ضعیف ) » ( سند میں عبد اللہ بن قیس مجہول راوی ہیں ، لیکن حدیث کا پہلا ٹکڑا «إن من أمتي من يدخل الجنة بشفاعته أكثر من مضر» صحیح ہے ، ملاحظہ ہو : سلسلة الاحادیث الضعیفة ، للالبانی : 4823 و سلسلة الاحادیث الصحیحة ، للالبانی : 2178 )

Benefits and Issues:

When the noble Companions (Sahabah) would visit someone, or when the Companions and the Followers (Tabi‘in) would meet each other, instead of engaging in idle talk, they would listen to and narrate hadith, and would learn and teach matters of the religion.

The meaning of “he will become the corner of Hell” is that the cell in which he will be imprisoned, a part of that chamber will be filled by his body. And Allah knows best.
