Bulugh al-Maram 976 — We arrived at al-Madinah when Allah's Messenger
وعن طارق المحاربي رضي الله عنه قال : قدمنا المدينة فإذا رسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم قائم على المنبر يخطب الناس ويقول : " يد المعطي العليا وابدأ بمن تعول : أمك وأباك وأختك وأخاك ثم أدناك فأدناك " رواه النسائي وصححه ابن حبان والدارقطني.
Narrated Tariq al-Muharibi (RA): We arrived at al-Madinah when Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) was standing on the Minbar addressing the people and saying, "The hand of the giver is the upper one, and spend first on those who are dependent on you: your mother and father, your sister and brother, then your relatives in order of their closeness to you." [Reported by an-Nasa'i. Ibn Hibban and ad-Daraqutni graded it Sahih (authentic)].
