Bulugh al-Maram 373 — The Prophet (ﷺ) used to ask for (Allah's)
وعن سمرة بن جندب رضي الله عنه أن النبي صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم كان يستغفر للمؤمنين والمؤمنات كل جمعة. رواه البزار بإسناد لين.
Narrated Samurah bin Jundub (RA): The Prophet (ﷺ) used to ask for (Allah's) forgiveness for the believing men and believing women, every al-Jumu'ah (Friday prayer). [al-Bazzar reported it through a weak chain of narrators].

«أخرجه البزار (كشف الأستار): 1 /307، 308. فيه يوسف بن خالد السمتي متروك متهم، وعلل أخرٰي.»©Explanation:
The aforementioned narration has been declared weak in its chain of transmission by our esteemed researcher. However, it is established from authentic ahadith that the khateeb should supplicate for forgiveness for himself and for other Muslim men and women during the Friday sermon.
