حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ خَشْرَمٍ ، قَالَ : أنا إِسْمَاعِيلُ يَعْنِي ابْنَ عُلَيَّةَ ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ ، عَنْ أَبِي قِلابَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي الْمُهَلَّبِ ، عَنْ عِمْرَانَ بْنِ حُصَيْنٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ ، أَنَّ رَجُلا أَعْتَقَ سِتَّةَ مَمْلُوكِينَ لَهُ عِنْدَ مَوْتِهِ لَمْ يَكُنْ لَهُ مَالٌ غَيْرُهُمْ ، فَدَعَاهُمْ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَجَزَّأَهُمْ أَثْلاثًا ، ثُمَّ أَقْرَعَ بَيْنَهُمْ ، فَأَعْتَقَ اثْنَيْنِ ، وَأَرَقَّ أَرْبَعَةً ، قَالَ : وَقَالَ لَهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَوْلا شَدِيدًا " .
Sayyiduna Imran bin Husayn (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that a man, at the time of his death, freed his six slaves, while he had no wealth other than them. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) called for them, divided them into three parts, then drew lots among them and freed two, and made four remain as slaves. And regarding that man, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) used harsh words.
