Al-Muntaqa Ibn al-Jarud 904 — What is reported about sacrificial
حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الزَّعْفَرَانِيُّ ، قَالَ : ثنا شَبَابَةُ ، قَالَ : ثنا زُهَيْرٌ ، عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " لا تَذْبَحُوا إِلا مُسِنَّةً ، إِلا أَنْ يَعْسُرَ عَلَيْكُمْ ، فَتَذْبَحُوا جَذَعَةً مِنَ الضَّأْنِ " .
Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) reports that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Do not slaughter any animal except a musinnah (one with permanent teeth), but if it becomes difficult to find, then slaughter a one-year-old lamb.
