Al-Muntaqa Ibn al-Jarud 595 — Prohibited sales involving risk
حَدَّثَنَا مَحْمُودُ بْنُ آدَمَ ، قَالَ : ثنا وَكِيعٌ ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا ، قَالَ : " نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ بَيْعِ فَضْلِ الْمَاءِ " .
Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with both of them) reports that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade selling surplus water.
