Al-Muntaqa Ibn al-Jarud 455 — Rites of pilgrimage
حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ خَشْرَمٍ ، قَالَ : أَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ وَهْبٍ ، عَنْ مَالِكِ بْنِ أَنَسٍ ، عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " رَمَلَ مِنَ الْحَجَرِ إِلَى الْحَجَرِ ثَلاثًا " .
Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) reports that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) performed ramal (brisk walking) from the Black Stone to (back to) the Black Stone in three circuits, and walked normally in four circuits.
